I recently was lucky enough to take a wee trip to London, and while wandering among what is deemed the 'Shoe Galleries' of the renowned glamorous department store Selfridges, I was confident I was to be acquainted with at least one new brand that would set my shoe-heart a flutter. Introducing Chloe Jade Green...

If you haven't heard of this fabulous shoe designer, it's probably because she is fairly new on the scene having only released her brand, CJG, and debut shoe collection in May of 2012. She describes herself as having always been fascinated with fashion "from experimenting with her mother's wardrobe as a child to sitting on the front rows at some of the biggest and best catwalk shows around the world" and her collection is intended to reflect her own personal style with a combination of "soft femininity with a rock edge".

The combination of textures, metallic features and beautiful design detailing give the shoes a unique feel about them and creates an intriguing balance of modernity, edge and feminine intricacies. Chloe puts her own stamp on the collection further with a distinct green patterned sole, and as someone who doesn't really like green, I can say with confidence that this is not your run of the mill 'forest' or 'grass' colour, but a green with much more personality. The collection features a range of biker boots and fabulous pumps with absolutely to-die-for platforms.

Following the successful launch of the CJG brand and shoe collection, Chloe has also branched into scarves and jewellery.

Although it's still early days for this fashion debutante, her first collection definitely gives warning that she is someone to keep an eye on. This little glimpse in the shoebox might have you anticipating her new S/S 13 collection just like me.

Check out the full collection on the CJG website.
