Let's be honest, it was only ever going to be a matter of time, but it still has taken a lot longer than what most of us would've expected, or at least hoped for! That's right, Sarah Jessica Parker is finally releasing her own shoe range after fifteen years since Sex and the City debuted on our screens.
The collection titled simply 'SJP', is in collaboration with George Malkemus, the CEO of fabulous shoe mogul Manolo Blahnik, which should come as no surprise to SATC fans; the brand's popularity has no doubt been influenced by SJP's character and avid Manolo Blahnik fan, Carrie Bradshaw, and Blahnik himself, has previously described SJP and Ms. Bradshaw as muses for his work.
To get you even further excited is news that accompanying SJP's debut shoe collection, will also be a range of accessories including bags and several trench coats. Speaking to US Vogue, Parker describes the venture as a quest for "something different" by "putting new colours together that people don't typically do, just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet." Seeking inspiration from "great old-school labels like Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon", the shoes are expected to retail from $200-$300 (US), making them a realistic potential purchase!
So when can you get your hands on a pair? US store Nordstrom will be the exclusive retailer for the range, dated for release in early 2014.
