Shazzle Dazzle - Wigs, Schwings and Pussy Galore

No, it's not the name of a bad porno, and don't pretend you weren't thinking something dirty. Instead, this latest segment within the Rabbit Hole is a bit of an insight into what's trending in my world.

That's right, we all have our own little short-term fetishes and sometimes these might be in reaction to celebrities or a mainstream trend, but if you're anything like me, then often you simply discover something you like and regardless of whether it's on trend or not, you're adamant that it's cool enough for you.

Style Snapshot - The Illusionary Clutch

There is something so wonderfully alluring about magic and the world of magicians, and even the simplest card trick can often make eyes widen and minds wonder. While this Style Snapshot segment isn't about magic, it is about 'pulling a rabbit out of a hat' so to speak...

Take a look at some fabulous fashion pieces that, like our beloved magicians, aim to play a bit of visual trickery through their everyday object design and appearance, while disguising their purpose as an accessory staple: the clutch.

FashionMister - Beard Revered

Introducing the newest segment within the Rabbit Hole - FashionMister... because the boys deserve a bit of attention too! Despite the name, FashionMister is not all about the threads of favoured gentlemen, but offers a wider approach as we appreciate the men in our lives - fashion-savvy or not.

To kick things off, the first FashionMister is looking at the latest trend that has been growing in Hollywood (pun intended) and it seems the local commoner is now following suit. That's right, we're talking Beards!

Sense of Beauty - Gorgeous Gaps

Sense of Beauty - Gorgeous Gaps

Everyday, whether intentionally or not, we scrutinise others in some form or another. Furthermore, we are often even prompted to do so through the proliferation of magazines that constantly criticise how celebrities look, how much they weigh or what's happening in their personal lives. Yes, arguably for public figures it comes with the territory, the unfortunate downside of the fame game, and while most of us are all probably guilty of indulging in the latest fat-snap bikini shots or plastic surgery horrors, we shouldn't endorse this negativity - even though I realise that by purchasing those mag's, we are unintentionally doing so. Thus, what is the answer?

Trend Spotting - Tuxedo Tales

Trend Spotting - Tuxedo Tales

Tuxedo is one of those fashion trends that pops up reasonably regularly, I mean a structured black blazer is part of the essentials wardrobe kit and this is almost always coupled with a white shirt - they go together like Bert and Ernie.

My Trend Spotting - Tuxedo Tales is taking the traditional and giving it a wee bit more of a modern edge. This trend is about structure, textures and a monochrome palette MJ would be proud of.

Wardrobe Weapon - Colour Me Confident

I have said it before and I'll say it again, I don't just wear make up to try and make myself look better; though admittedly on those days where I have indulged in one too many glasses of pinot the night before, it sure does help minimise the evidence. No, to me make up is just as much about how you feel as how you look. It's like when you get a new haircut or do a full head-to-toe makeover after a break-up, make up can give you a total confidence boost and I know no better way to achieve confidence than with a bit of colour, but not just in general, this colour is a tried and tested method, and one of my besties: Lipstick.

Trend Spotting - Sugar and Spice

Trend Spotting - Sugar and Spice

Sugar and Spice and all things nice... well not quite, this one has just a dash of naughty thrown in too. This Trend Spotting is about sweet-as-pie with a hint of minx, a balance between pretty and girly but just enough spice to keep it fashionably chic at the same time.

Channeling past style queens, this look combines the elegance and style of Marilyn Monroe and Jackie O, with a modern twist.

Trend Spotting - Varsity Vintage

Trend Spotting - Varsity Vintage

Okay... so this trend is well and truly spotted by the retailers, but it's still emerging out on the streets, so before you go nuts and buy that $200 bomber jacket you've been eyeing up, I recommend taking a look at my style edit of my take on the Varsity trend - Varsity Vintage.

This one is all about combining that back to college, school girl, american sports look, with a little bit of vintage. No, I'm not meaning any old thing you can find in the back of the wardrobe. Varsity Vintage gets its edge from the wardrobe of the 90's!

Trend Spotting - Circus Circus

Trend Spotting - Circus Circus

This Trend Spotting, Circus Circus, is my prediction as the next big thing. It hasn't really been styled in a complete look in stores yet, but there are tonnes of individual pieces around to help you compile your own take on it.

Think velvet fabric, bowler hats, statement blazers and frilly blouses, all ranging in a fabulous colour palette of maroons; black and white stripes; rich purple lavender; and, red and black with gold trimming.

Trend Spotting - Pop Tart

Pop Art is totally trending... what do I think, no, no no! Ladies, this trend needs a wee bit more edge then what's currently out there... I dub thee - Pop Tart. It's not just about having a flash, bang on your top! This trend has so much more potential. Allow me to introduce you to this take on the Pop Art theme, but giving it a bit more fun, funk, and most importantly, style! Lovin' Pop Tart!

Trend Spotting - Space Age

Go back to the future with this cool and spunky look!

Trend Spotting - Space Age

My prediction, Space Age is hitting and it's a style that has a lot more looks and variations than you think. Infact, when I first saw hints at this trend I was unconvinced to say the least, but I am now inspired, so I have sought out some cool pieces to add to your new Space Age wardrobe and my thoughts on what to team it with.

Fake or Faux Pas

Fake or Faux Pas

The 21st Century has seen pressures on the beauty and fashion industry to adopt a more 'natural' looking beauty. There is a line beginning to form, woman are being criticised for being too 'fake' and masking our real selves. Is fake merely enhancing our natural beauty, or is fake a big faux pas?
