If you're into fun, playful fashion that still delivers chic sophistication, then Australian designer Gary Bigeni could be your new fash fav, particularly once you take a looky at his latest collection for Spring/Summer 2013-14.
The Sydney-sider has established a firm footprint in the world of fashion since graduating from East Sydney Design Tech in 2002, and consistently showing at Australian Fashion Week since 2008. Described as "Unruly. Unaffected. Eccentric. Exciting. Prolific." Bigeni's designs bring these attributes to life through exquisite draping, perfectly constructed silhouettes and tasteful splashes of colour.
The Spring/Summer 13-14 collection from Bigeni certainly embodies his signature fashion flavours and delivers a fabulous collection of sophisticated and playful pieces that are best described as fashion art. Prints take a prominent place amongst the collection and rightly so, with a galaxy of colours and designs including the Heston Polkadot Top and Vena Large Polkadot Skirt, and the Hunt Swiggleprint Coat which reminds me of licorice allsorts... totally delish! For those who like to liven up their look in a slightly less eccentric way, Bigeni includes a number of pieces focussed on strong silhouettes and chic colour combinations including the Cato Estateblue Blazer, Heston Graphicprint Top, and Morten Dazzling Blue Pant - the perfect way to introduce some colour, particularly into your work wardrobe!
