10 Things I've Learnt from Being a Parent

Okay... so realistically I could craft a list way longer than ten, but these lists always seem to be ten in length. Maybe because you'll lose interest if it's any longer. Nonetheless, these little observations kept popping into my head at random times over the past few months, and I just felt the need to share. So here we go!

  1. The parents of a toddler throwing a tantrum in the middle of the supermarket are not to blame
  2. No one truly understands the meaning of patience until trying to feed a 1 year old their lunch
  3. Sometimes watching someone sleep isn't as creepy as it sounds
  4. The crying of your own child is by far harder to listen to than that of someone elses
  5. A person's size does not seem to affect the quantity of poo they produce
  6. Dry shampoo is a mother's best friend
  7. Regardless of a child's age, they know and understand a lot more than you give them credit for
  8. Being sick isn't half as bad as being sick and having to look after a child
  9. Sometimes everyone is right when they tell you it's not very practical... but gosh darn, don't they look cute
  10. It does not get easier, it simply gets different!
