Balenciaga - Multi-Panel High Top Trainers

Balenciaga - Multi-Panel High Top Trainers

These snaztastic sneakers from Balenciaga are simple yet so enticing, and if people still use the words 'street cred', these would certainly fall into that bucket.

Sporting a primarily fuchsia pink body, the supporting colour palette sounds like it would never work altogether; with metallic gold, snow white, mulled wine, and a chocolate brown, but somehow it just does!

Burak Uyan - Suede Cut Out Boots

Burak Uyan - Suede Cut Out Boots

Reminiscent of a Giuseppe Zanotti bootie, but this gorgeous bold burst of blue is from Burak Uyan, and if this is an indication of what to expect, then something else you might expect to see very soon is a ShoEducation on Mr Uyan so we can get to know and appreciate all he has to offer!

Don't let the colour fool you, this particular heel is not simplistic, relying on its palette to create the drama, like a transformer, it's more than meets the eye!

Bettie Page - Damsel

Bettie Page - Damsel

Now this is a cool boot! From Bettie Page, this boot looks like it could be dropped straight from a Vampire flick with the perfect combination of edge, attitude and lust-worthy design detail that makes it appear quite unique even though there are parts of it we have seen before.

When admiring this particular heel, one must comment on the shape and the beautiful arc of the body through to the heel that is further complemented with studding detail all the way around.

B by Brian Atwood - Fontanne Hologram Snakeskin Pump

B by Brian Atwood - Fontanne Hologram Snakeskin Pump

You might be looking at this heel from Brian Atwood's label, B by Brian Atwood, and thinking it looks slightly familiar - this is because it technically has actually featured on Writing in Heels before! Not one to double up, I have justification for this reappearance and that is the colour scheme.

There are some heels that feature the same design but in different colour palettes and have you tossing and turning at night as to which colour to for, and this Fontanne Hologram Snakeskin Pump definitely falls into that category!

Brian Atwood - Tie Me Up Animal Print Leather Sandals

Brian Atwood - Tie Me Up Animal Print Leather Sandals

Another day, another snakeskin heel but this sandal from Brian Atwood definitely differentiates itself from the competition. Probably the biggest trait of distinction is the colour palette - it's quite different, in a colour I think best described as a soft spearmint milkshake.

The sandal also features a gorgeous lace-up front with extra cording to wrap around the ankle, and complementary cut-outs.

BCBGeneration - Liberty Neon Yellow Black

BCBGeneration - Liberty Neon Yellow Black

Give in to your inner buzzy bee with this pump from BCBGeneration. In a shocking lightning yellow, coupled with black patent leather, it's hard not to grab some attention wearing this pair, but it's for all good reasons, I assure you.

This heel is actually available in a few other colours all matched with white, including pink, nude and black, but this neon number is definitely the star amongst the bunch.

B by Brian Atwood - Neon Snake-Embossed Pump

B by Brian Atwood - Neon Snake-Embossed Pump

2013 has seen a bit of neon (or fluro for you Generation Xers) trending and although the more eccentric pieces last about as long as a freshly baked batch of cookies in my household, when done right, neon can have some longevity.

This pump from Brian Atwood's 'B' collection is a prime example of splashing some neon colour but in a timeless way that means you'll get some decent wear out of this heel before retirement.

Blink - Edenn Black Nubuck Pu

Blink - Edenn Black Nubuck Pu

A new brand for me, but this heel from Blink took my eye when compiling my style edit for Trend Spotting: Sugar and Spice. It has a pretty, good-girl look to it - almost schoolgirl like - but then at the same time the cheeky leopard print lining, the heavier heel and decent platform all combine to give it a touch of naughty as well.

The curving around the ankle and the bow at the side is a nice touch to give this a bit of originality too.

Betsey Johnson - Iconnn Blush Multi

Betsey Johnson - Iconnn Blush Multi

A gorgeous heel from Betsey Johnson, this is available in several variations - admittedly I have three others that are all equally as fashion fab as the next! This one isn't yet to feature in my own wardrobe but it without a doubt would have a place amongst friends.

Quite a pretty shoe, to hit the Sugar and Spice trend you can minx up your outfit...

Betsey Johnson - Ginger Turquoise Pat

Betsey Johnson - Ginger Turquoise Pat

Nothing quite screams Pop Tart like bright fuschia or turquoise in a shiny patent finish.

This heel is delectable; the colour is something that's sure to be an excellent collection to your shoe wardrobe and the added spikes really give it a bit of spice.

Betsey Johnson - Carmindy Black Multi

Betsey Johnson - Carmindy Black Multi

The first shoe to kick off the trend of Pop Tart. Betsey has some fab shoes and this is no exception. The capped toe is also very 'in' right now and I love the use of colour on the heel and the silver strip around the platform.

You just can't go wrong with hot pink, black and silver!
