Michael Antonio - Karma

Michael Antonio - Karma

Keeping with the lace-up bootie trend, Michael Antonio joins the game with the Karma boot. Available in two striking shades, coral and metallic gold (and we all know metallics are very trendy right now), both are bold, daring and a wee bit different.

Featuring an open toe and lace-up vamp, it’s a total tran-sesasonal winner, and with a 15.3 cm (6 inch!) heel, prepare to up the style stakes.

Michael Antonio – Lamiss Snake

Michael Antonio – Lamiss Snake

It might look quite simple, but this stiletto from Michael Antonio is chic, stylish and super versatile, particularly given it's available in a number of different colours! Ten points if you can guess my fave...

Featuring sexy texture with a snake stamped synthetic upper, pointy toe and 11.43cm (4.5 inches) heel. This is the perfect go-to shoe for transitioning between work and play!

Manolo Blahnik - Zullin Crystal-Draped dOrsay Pump

Manolo Blahnik - Zullin Crystal-Draped dOrsay Pump

There haven't been too many Manolos featured on WritinginHeels.com, maybe because I have a penchant for slightly higher heels, but I can sure appreciate shoe beauty in all shapes and sizes, I give you exhibit A.

This gorgeous stiletto from the famed fashion designer is the epitome of evening elegance; sultry metallic silver colouring, dripping jewels and chic silhouette.

Say hello to this bootie, an undoubtedly awesome addition to any wardrobe! From Michael Antonio, the bootie is a blend of summer/winter seasons with a peep toe and burnt autumn colouring or black for the traditional, always applicable situation!

Taking notes out of the sneaker stylebook, this bootie features a cuffed heel, lace up front and snake stamped panel details on the side. Heel height comes in at 10.2cm (6 inches!) with a 3.8cm (1.5 inch) platform.

Marc by Marc Jacobs - Zebra Loafer

Marc by Marc Jacobs - Zebra Loafer

Flats with animal detailing seem to be a big trend in the wonderland of shoes lately and this loafer from Marc by Marc Jacobs is at the top of the wishlist in this category! It can really be summarised by one word: adorable. But we'll give it a little bit more detail than just that!

Featuring a gorgeously chic zebra print on suede and pony hair, the fun begins with cute little ears, googly eyes and little nostrils right on the toe! Oh... and did I mention he has some friends ;)

Melissa - Incense Rubber Courts

Melissa - Incense Rubber Courts

There are some people out there that are all about the savoury, where the main course is the main event. But I must admit... I am a total dessert queen. That's right, I'm always hanging out for the sweet stuff, the pièce de résistance, and what's my choice? Well, I don't discriminate too much (although citrus is not my fave...), but I love, love, love... ice cream!

So when you combine one of my favourite things; ice cream, with one of my other favourite things; shoes... you are speaking my language!

Moon Boot - MB Deluxe Boot

Moon Boot - MB Deluxe Boot

And who said you couldn't be fashionable whilst in space? Okay, I'm not sure anyone has ever actually said that, but nonetheless I think Mr Armstrong could certainly up the space style-stakes with this pair of funktastic Moon Boots. Yes!! They are actually called Moon Boots!

I mean we barely even need to continue with this critique when the words Moon Boots have arisen... Did I mention they're gold and sparkly? Nuff said.

Michael Antonio Studio - Tyrus

Michael Antonio Studio - Tyrus

Another heel that falls into the realm of probably not for everyone out there, but I certainly would don this fine piece of shoe craftsmanship. This pump/wedge platform number is from Michael Antonio Studio and is definitely one of the louder heels seeking attention with its hot pink fuschia colour palette.

Taking this shoe up a notch is the addition of gold painted hardware with a combination of eyelets and studs adorning the entire exterior of the shoe.

McQ by Alexander McQueen - Pink Studded Leather Pointed Pumps

McQ by Alexander McQueen - Pink Studded Leather Pointed Pumps

Another fabulous find from McQ by Alexander McQueen, this pump is a colour shade that I absolutely adore and what I describe as Barbie Pink - that soft, candy pastel shade reminiscent of painted lips of the 80's.

The shoe is gorgeous leather with a patent heel just under five inches high and a half inch platform. Also lust worthy are the silver cone stud embellishments on the collar of the heel.

Michael Antonio Studio - Ramada

Michael Antonio Studio - Ramada

This pump from Michael Antonio Studio has an almost galactic 'Space Age' feel to it, so if you jumped on the Trend Spotting - Space Age style edit I did not too long ago, this is the perfect addition to your collection.

Following in the footsteps (hehe!) of many of the other heels I've posted up recently, this pump features a gorgeous satin snakeskin body in a cosmic colour palette.

Michael Antonio Studio - Hyder

Michael Antonio Studio - Hyder

I must admit, I am a fan of thigh-high boots, and despite the often 'slutty' connotations I am a firm believer that coupled with the right outfit, these aren't just for the Beyonces, Rihannas or street walkers of the world!

Not for the faint-hearted, this boot from Michael Antonio Studio is definitely worn to be seen, and to be honest, it's pretty hard to miss!

McQ by Alexander McQueen - Cut-Out Leather Ankle Boots

McQ by Alexander McQueen - Cut-Out Leather Ankle Boots

Looking for an edgy new addition to your wardrobe? Look no further! Introducing a fabulous bootie-pump-sandal cross from Alexander McQueen's 'McQ' label. A mixture of different textures makes this shoe really appropriate if you want to hit the Tuxedo Tales trend, and sitting between various shoe genres means it is versatile to wear across multiple seasons.

Featuring a lace-up front, the heel has an almost urban feel to it, like a sexy heel version of the sneaker.

Matiko - Emery

Matiko - Emery

This boot from Matiko has a sort of military-feel to it with the chunkiness of the heel, the high platform and the buckles running up the front.

The buckles have a bit of a futuristic vibe to them, something you'd expect to see Trinity donning in The Matrix, making this boot pretty versatile in the wardrobe!
