Space Age

SpaceAgeIconSpace Age is hitting and it's a style that has a lot more looks and variations than you think. Galaxy, Futuristic, or Back to the Future, so many choices and heaps of trends within a trend so you're bound to find something you like!

Michael Antonio Studio - Ramada

Michael Antonio Studio - Ramada

This pump from Michael Antonio Studio has an almost galactic 'Space Age' feel to it, so if you jumped on the Trend Spotting - Space Age style edit I did not too long ago, this is the perfect addition to your collection.

Following in the footsteps (hehe!) of many of the other heels I've posted up recently, this pump features a gorgeous satin snakeskin body in a cosmic colour palette.

L.A.M.B - Jean Grey Pink

L.A.M.B - Jean Grey Pink

If you want a shoe that sums up Pop Tart, this is it. Electric pink, sparkly shiny silver, and black leather - think of the combination of colours, textures and just general glamorous funk and you will fully get what I mean!

I think this one could cross over into Space Age quite nicely too.

Zu - Fierce Extreme Platform Style with Hardware

Zu - Fierce Extreme Platform Style with Hardware

Zu have some fierce shoes out at the moment, and this one just sums it up for me! Spikes, cute little buckles, towering height, and some texture around the platform - such a good combination!

Loving how versatile this pair could be too; pants - particularly a pair of skinny ankle grazers would look fab, skirts, or rock it with a pair of leather shorts!

Veda Soul - Cameron Smoke

Veda Soul - Cameron Smoke

You could not get a better shoe to sum up the futuristic theme. This shoe... has total attitude. Love the spikes (though probably need to be a bit careful of innocent bystanders with these ones!) and the shiny silver is just perfect.

Despite the chunkiness of this shoe, it would be fab paired up with something cute and girly like a black leather skirt.

Supra - Skytop Sneaker in Black/Silver/Pink

Supra - Skytop Sneaker in Black/Silver/Pink

Another sneaker featured... I must be nearing my quota for flat/casual shoes! But how could I resist not sharing these special wee numbers. For starters, they're pink, silver and black - instant cool, and the high top is purrrfect! Not too high, but high enough to give you a bit of edge.

I can picture these teamed up with so many choices.

Sam Edelman - Bennett Blk Grey Beige

Sam Edelman - Bennett Blk Grey Beige

Ok, ok, I am the first to admit, I completely ragged on the 'sneaker-wedge' trend when it popped up, actually quite a while ago now! But I take it all back. After however many months, I have finally come around and though I am yet to own a pair (this might change as we near Autumn/Winter and the need to enclose my tootsies becomes more precedent), I finally understand it's place.

This pair is super cool from Sam Edelman.

Promise Shoes - Manchi Silver

Promise Shoes - Manchi Silver

These shoes are from a fabulous brand I've recently taken quite a shine too (though am yet to have managed to get a pair for myself! It's just a matter of time...), Promise Shoes. They have a fantastic silver shine, almost blinding, and the little bit of glitter and studs, they work into the Space Age trend but are also versatile to be a handy pair in the wardrobe for any night out!

Luichiny - Last Chance Pewter Glitter

Luichiny - Last Chance Pewter Glitter

So you might have noticed... Pewter is totally trending, but really it is trending within the Space Age trend.

This pair is in one word... Fabulous! Love the glitter, and the simplistic black heel oozes glitz.

Joe's Jeans - Delores Silver Metal

Joe's Jeans - Delores Silver Metal

These aren't as high as what I'd normally don, but they are hitting the mark for Space Age - shiny, silver, and with a gorgeous point that could do some serious damage aimed at the right shin.

They would look gorge with a pair of skinnies, black leather if you have them - infact, I can picture something similar rocked by Miss Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and we all know she has fab style!

Jeffrey Campbell - Black Zhora Quilted Boots

Jeffrey Campbell - Black Zhora Quilted Boots

I'm going to be the first to say it (well, the first I've heard say it at least!), Quilting is in! And I'm not talking about dragging out your Nan's favourite bed spread and heading up Collins St, Oxford St, or 5th Ave!

No, this type of Quilting is a bit more 'refined', and I dub almost a sub-trend within my current pick Space Age.

Dereon - Wild Silver

Dereon - Wild Silver

I saw these, and ohmigosh, ah-maze-ing! They just scream buy me, but alas, I have not... yet!

I can picture them going fabulously with a black leather skirt or a pair of tight leather shorts - totally rockin!

Iron Fist - Ruff Rider Platform Pewter

Iron Fist - Ruff Rider Platform Pewter

Iron Fist... always a winner, and this pewter skull number is no exception. I love the versatility of this; it would go fabulous with a pair of skinny jeans, is dainty enough for a skirt or rock it with a pair of black leather shorts.

Skulls, metallic, space age... suits so many trends!

G by Guess - Dargha Pewter LL

G by Guess - Dargha Pewter LL

This boot is a statement boot - it has a masculine edge to it but at the same time can be prettied up with a cute skirt.

They come in a black and brown too, but the pewter is by far the best!

Just Fab - Demetra Pewter

Just Fab - Demetra Pewter

Lace up booties are always a winner in my book and the finish on this is Just Fab! (see what I did there!)

Would look great with a pair of black skinnies, and is a great shoe for dressing up or down!

Dereon - Dynamite Pewter

Dereon - Dynamite Pewter

This pair is really bang on trend for Space Age with silver fringing and a peeptoe.

Pair it with a short black leather skirt to show off the full length!
