Paris Hilton - Sierra

Rocking the monochrome look has never been easier with this heel from Paris Hilton. Featuring a hound's tooth fabric body, this heel is a perfect addition to your winter wardrobe and is great to transition between day and night.

To polish the look and prevent it from looking too dowdy or oldschool, the hound's tooth is complemented by black patent finishings including around the base of the sole, the heel and a cute bow right by the ankle.

Chinese Laundry - White Danger Zone

With so many black shoes featured in the Tuxedo Tales style edit, it was necessary to include its monochrome counterpart - white! And this stiletto from Chinese Laundry is bang-on trend for the sophisticated and chic image of the Tuxedo Tale girl.

Finished with a white leather upper, the heel's main feature is the pointy toe with a metallic cap. The heel height is relatively low at just 3.75 inches, but surprisingly this doesn't compromise the look of the shoe.

McQ by Alexander McQueen - Cut-Out Leather Ankle Boots

Looking for an edgy new addition to your wardrobe? Look no further! Introducing a fabulous bootie-pump-sandal cross from Alexander McQueen's 'McQ' label. A mixture of different textures makes this shoe really appropriate if you want to hit the Tuxedo Tales trend, and sitting between various shoe genres means it is versatile to wear across multiple seasons.

Featuring a lace-up front, the heel has an almost urban feel to it, like a sexy heel version of the sneaker.

Saint Laurent - Paris Patent-Leather Boots

Why hello there gorgeous? What's your name? Admittedly, I am saying this to the shoe, but I have no doubt that if you slip into these, it wouldn't be an absurd prediction to believe some lovely gentleman could be saying these words to you fairly soon too!

From luxe brand Saint Laurent, they might be a bit more of a budget hit than some of the other additions to your wardrobe, but can you really put a price on heels? In answer to this, you can, but it's upsetting to think about so let's move on...

Hendrick Brun - Amirah

Another one of my favourites from the Tuxedo Tales style edit, this heel has serious style attitude while being very interesting and intriguing at the same time. The shoe features a one inch platform, giving it a total 4 & 3/4 inch heel and leather upper, lining and sole.

It's the detail that really sets this shoe apart though. Featuring a swirl of stitching on the heel, and a 'snap and go' mechanism enabling you to switch up the style.

Steve Madden - Darrt

Sometimes it is the simplest shoes that are the hardest to get right and the hardest to find. Steve Madden delivers with this almost outrageously simple black patent stiletto, but it is the small things that make this simple shoe a simple stand-out.

Firstly, the size of the heel. Simple and safe, does not have to mean short! This heel boasts a gorgeous 4.5 inch heel that gives you sexy, sophisticated stature! Combined with the pointy toe, it's a perfect shoe for the corporate world and can easily be sexified for friday night.

Report Signature - Durant

Another favourite from my Trendspotting - Tuxedo Tales shoe collection. This heel is a blend between pump and bootie, featuring a peeptoe and black patent finish, this heel oozes sexy and sophisticated style all in one.

The buckles are the most predominant feature and give this bootie a touch of edge and attitude, making it a perfect Friday shoe when you want to transition between office and evening.

Gunmetal - Margot Pump

This pump from Gunmetal is alluringly simple but has a sense of intrigue and hidden depth when you begin to examine it a little closer. The wavy cut is interesting and kind of quirky, yet it doesn't take away from the sophistication this heel offers. The matte finish is what enhances its modesty and the double-stacked platform is beguiling.

Every time I look at this shoe, the combination of the wavy cut, the platform and the unpretentious matte finish make this shoe simply captivating.

Harajuku Lovers - Dobson Heel Black

Another day... another moment of instantaneous shoe lust! Meet a fabulous find from Gwen Stefani's label - Harajuku Lovers. This just screamed Tuxedo Tales when I was searching for shoes to feature in the sophisticated but chic style edit. The monochrome palette is perfect, but it's the detail that makes this shoe.

Finished in a fabulous patent leather, it then features an adorable black and white bowtie adorned to the front and cute black buttons!

Kurt Geiger - Ellen Suede Courts

Sometimes the simplest shoes are the hardest find and regardless of whether you're in the corporate world or not, most of us appreciate having a classic court in a shoe wardrobe repertoire. This black suede court heel from Kurt Geiger is perfect to fit that role!

It's elegant, sophisticated and the shape is simply divine. It's high, but not too high, it's sexy but not too sexy and it's simple but stylish.

Jessica Simpson - Black Audriana

This stylish ankle bootie is from Jessica Simpson and really epitomises one of the core principles of Tuxedo Tales: the mixing of textures. With a delicious combination of leather and suede, it creates an elegant look with a shape that allows you to wear both pants and skirts or shorts.

The subtle cuffing detail around the ankle enhances this bootie even more!

Fergie - Podium

Quite a minimalistic heel but with just a touch of detail in the right places to stop it from being boring. The metallic tipped toe is very in right now and the folded leather cuff around the ankle is chic and interesting.

This heel is going to be a versatile number in the wardrobe. It's part of my style edit for Tuxedo Tales - definitely bringing an element of sophistication, and it'll easily work into a lot of other looks.
